Dr George Frederick Heroman Jr

George Frederick Heroman Jr. was born on 27 Apr 1921 in Monticello, Arkansas as the fourth child of George Frederick Heroman and Winnie Mary Mitchell. He had three siblings, namely: Winnie Marie, Francis Rosa, and William Leslie. He died on 25 Oct 1988 in Hewitt, Mclennan, Texas, USA.

He was buried in Waco, McLennan County, Texas, USA.

Notes:

I can't find any information suggesting that he was married or had children.  My mother-in-law has informed me of the fact that he was married and did have children.  One daughter and two sons.  I have the phone number of his daughter, so my next job is to contact her and see what information I can get from her.  Still don't understand why they don't show up on census records.  Where did they live in 1930 and 1940??

William Leslie Heroman

William Leslie Heroman was born on 28 Apr 1919 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA as the third child of George Frederick Heroman and Winnie Mary Mitchell. He had three siblings, namely: Winnie Marie, Francis Rosa, and George Frederick Jr.. He died on 09 Apr 2009 in Fairfield Bay, Van Buren County, Arkansas, USA. When he was 28, he married Hazel Lavon Tucker on 29 May 1947 in Drew, Arkansas, United States.

William Leslie Heroman served in the military on 23 Sep 1940 (Age: 21). He lived in Higden, AR in 1984 (Age: 65). He was buried in Van Buren County, Arkansas, USA.

William Leslie Heroman and Hazel Lavon Tucker had the following children:

1. William Mitchel Heroman was born on 06 Sep 1950 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA.
2. Phillip Darrel Heroman was born on 25 Nov 1951 in Pine Bluff, Jefferson, Arkansas, USA. He died on 06 Feb 1996 in Pine Bluff, Jefferson, Arkansas, USA.
3. Kenneth Leslie Heroman was born on 28 Jan 1955 in Pine Bluff, Jefferson, Arkansas, USA.

Notes:
I really don't know what happened to this family during the census records, but they are just nowhere to be found.  In 1940, he was 21 years old, and joining the military to go down and work in Panama.  He should be somewhere in at least some census records.  Whether is was 1920, 1930, or 1940, he should be there somewhere.  I just can't find any of them.  I'll keep searching his siblings and maybe something will come up.

Francis Rosa Heroman

Francis Rosa Heroman was born on 25 Dec 1916 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA as the second child of George Frederick Heroman and Winnie Mary Mitchell. She had three siblings, namely: Winnie Marie, William Leslie, and George Frederick Jr.. She died on 06 Oct 1995 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA. When she was 18, she married John Wheeler Russell, son of James Wylie Russell and Mattie Ederington, on 16 Mar 1935 in Desha, Arkansas, USA.

The only census record I can find for her is after she was married in 1940.  She already had both of her children by that point.

John Wheeler Russell and Francis Rosa Heroman had the following children:

1. Shirley Ann Russell was born on 09 Oct 1935 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA. She died on 02 Apr 2014 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, USA.

2. Robert Frederick Russell was born on 27 Apr 1939 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA. He died in May 1988 in Huntsville, Madison, Alabama, USA.

Notes: I'm going to keep looking for her earlier census records, but I'm going no further with her children because I am in contact with both Shirley's and Robert's children, and they are living so there will be no sharing that information.

George Frederick Heroman

George Frederick Heroman was born on 11 Aug 1896 in Louisiana, USA as the first child of George Francis Heroman and Annie O'Connor. He died on 25 Feb 1961 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA. (He is buried in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, but he didn't die there.  He was in South Carolina.)   When he was 18, he married Winnie Mary Mitchell, daughter of John Morgan Mitchell and Nellie Chenault, on 11 Dec 1914 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA.

George Frederick Heroman lived in Drew, Arkansas between 1917–1918 according to his WWI draft registration, pictured below.

George Frederick Heroman and Winnie Mary Mitchell had the following children:

1. Winnie Marie Heroman was born on 27 Aug 1915 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA. She died        on 27 Aug 1915.
2. Francis Rosa Heroman
3. William Leslie Heroman
4. George Frederick Heroman Jr.

Notes: I'm having the hardest time finding any census records of him.  It is perplexing because he should be in 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940, but he isn't in any of them.  Maybe when I go through the children I'll find him again.  I only have the 1900 census record of him.  I have his draft registration and marriage information, but nothing else.  I'm ordering a copy of his obituary from a newspaper in South Carolina, so I will add that once I get it.
**Update.. the obituary didn't help me much at all, but it is now added to the bottom of this page...

George Francis Heroman

George Francis Heroman was born about 1871 in Louisiana, USA as the second child of Frederick William Henry Heroman and Mary Anne Palmyria Babin.  He died between 1896–1897.

George Francis Heroman lived in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA in 1870. He lived in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA in 1880 (Age: 9; Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head of House: Son). Race: (White)

Notes:  I can find almost nothing about him after his 9th birthday.  It would probably help if the 1890 census was still intact and available, but since it's not, the next time I see anything about him is in 1900 when his wife (I'm assuming it is his wife), is married to another man and has two children.  One child is George Heroman and he's 3 years old, and the other child is Jerre M Weights (Wrights maybe) and he's 1 yr old.  Anyway, it says she's been married for 2 years, and has given birth to two living children.  Her husband isn't listed on the census with her, but her last name is listed as Weights (Wrights).  My previous information says her name was Annie Lee before she married George Francis Heroman (I can't find anything to back this up).  I'm unsure exactly what happened except that her son, George Heroman was born somewhere in Arkansas, between the time he was born 1896 and 1900, she was married to another man and had been married for 2 years according to the census.  That leaves a very small window for something to have happened to George Francis Heroman.  I just don't know where he is.

George Francis Heroman and Annie Lee had the following children:

1.  George Frederick Heroman was born on 11 Aug 1896 in Louisiana, USA. He died on 25 Feb 1961 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA. He married Winnie Mary Mitchell on 11 Dec 1914 in Monticello, Drew, Arkansas, USA.

Edited to Add: I found George Frederick's death certificate (attached at bottom), and it states his mother's maiden name as Annie O'Connor, so I was looking for Lee the whole time when it should've been O'Connor.  So now I'm going to research her from there!  Maybe I can find a marriage certificate for Annie and George.

 - She lived in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA in 1870 (Age: 1; Census Post Office: Baton Rouge).
 - She was almost 3 years old when her little sister died.

 - She lived in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA in 1880 (Age: 11; Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head of House: Daughter).
 - She lived in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA in 1900 (Age: 30; Marital Status: Single; Relation to Head of House: Daughter).
 - She lived in Police Jury Ward 10, East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA in 1910 (Age: 42; Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Wife).
 - She lived in Police Jury Ward 10, East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA in 1920 (Age: 49; Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Wife).
 - She lived in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA in 1930 (Age: 61; Marital Status: Widowed; Relation to Head of House: Sister).

Isaac J David and Rosa Irene Heroman had no children.

NOTES:  She got married in late 1909 or early in 1910, but when the census was taken that year, she had been married less than a year, and she had never had any children.  Her husband passed away in 1927, and she was living with her brother Fred in 1930.  Then she drops away and I can't find anything else about her.  I'm pretty secure in saying she didn't have any kids.

*Her census records are listed below... I'm moving on to her siblings for information now.
